Ms. Babalola holds a Master's degree in Physiology from The University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Her MSc dissertation was on the Neuroprotective potential of Cnidoscolus aconitifolius on Lipopolysaccharide-induced memory impairment in Wistar rats. The study involved the assessment of memory impairment using the Y-Maze Test and Novel Object Recognition Test.
Subsequently, she proceeded on a three month research visit to the University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom, where she worked with a team of researchers exploring the cell and molecular mechanisms of natural anti-inflammatory agents. Her expertise includes neurobehavioral studies, animal handling, cell culture techniques, biochemical analysis, and animal models of neurodegenerative diseases.
She taught Physiology to undergraduate students at the faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Lead City University, Ibadan, Nigeria, prior to Joining the Kumar Lab in 2022 for her Ph.D. Her doctoral research will focus on designing a highly potent lymphatic system-targeting nanoparticle cyclosporine for systemic lupus erythematosus.
Education
2021 - MSc in Physiology (Neuroscience), University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
2015 - BTech (Hons) in Physiology, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria.
